The Attention Revolution by Allan Wallace

I read this book after having gone on a retreat with Allan Wallace in June 2012. It describes the stages of Samatha meditation which is the Buddhist meditation concerned with settling the mind an described the practices associated with each stage. He also described some complimentary practice such as Loving Kindness. I liked it because it gave me a sense of where I was and where I was going. Plus you can get it on Kindle :)
